Mseilha Fort

A medieval fort, Mseilha Fort was built on a long, narrow limestone rock near Nahr el-Jawz River. Its walls are constructed with sandstone blocks quarried from the nearby coast and built onto the edge of the limestone rock. Crusaders fist built the fort during the middle ages, and it was rebuilt later by Emir Fakhreddine in the 17th Century to guard the route from Tripoli to Beirut. A slice of history!
