Historical Dubai City Tour -Jewel Of The Persian Gulf
Dubai, the “City of Merchants” offers a fascinating kaleidoscope of contrasts – the old and new, the East and the West. Our historical tour will journey through the sights and scents of the Orient. We drive past the ruler’s palace and stop over the Bastakia area – the oldest part of the city with its tall wind towers.
Visit the Dubai museum, the 18th century Al Fahidi Fort depicting various scenes of years gone by, providing a fascinating glimpse of the historical links of the city which started as a port for trading and pearl diving. Barjeel Al Arab Restaurant
No trip to Dubai is complete without visiting this Emirati and Arabic restaurant facing the waterways of the Historical Creek. The menu reflects various authentic Emirati delicacies including traditional Emirati Breakfast with specialties such as Saffron Pancakes, Khameer (Cardamom and fennel flavored yeast bread) served with dates Honey & homemade Cheese. Enjoy Jarjeer wa Hamba (Rocket and Green Mango Salad) and Lgeimat (Saffron Flavored Fritters), Shorba Harees (Wheat Soup) and the popular Shorbat Adas (Traditional Lentil Soup) and a variety of other local food . Visit the old spice souk in a traditional water taxi or ‘ Abra ‘. The spice souq with its aromatic varieties of spices, incense, dried herbs even herbal medicine is a must visit when in Dubai. From the spice souk head to the Gold Souk. You have to see this to believe it, an entire area dedicated to gold shopping. A dazzling sight where you can buy anything from rings to crowns all in Gold and precious stones. A place for great bargains !
A magnificent example of modern Islamic architecture, the Jumeirah mosque is another iconic landmark of Dubai . Amidst a busy shopping district, the monument stands majestically sounded by palm trees. Everyone is welcome here . Ladies don’t forget your scarves, we do need to cover up before entering the mosque.
